Have your say on the Australian Dairy Plan
Published on 17 May 2019
Residents are encouraged to have their say on a plan that will set a clear vision and purpose for Australia’s dairy industry for the next five years and beyond.
Cohuna will host a consultation session regarding the Australian Dairy Plan on Monday, 3 June, with registrations now open.
Developed by Dairy Australia, Australian Dairy Farmers, Australian Dairy Products Federation and Gardiner Dairy Foundation, the Australian Dairy Plan aims to provide a blueprint for the industry to operate, which delivers to a collective strategy.
“The Australian dairy industry is operating in a changed and challenging environment, and to navigate these challenges, farmers, processors and the broader dairy community need to work together and speak with one voice,” Gannawarra Shire Council Deputy Mayor, Cr Charlie Gillingham said.
“We are fortunate as a Shire to have one of the six consultation sessions being held in Victoria occurring in our area, so it is important that residents take the opportunity to have their say on the plan.”
The Cohuna session will be held at Northern District Community Health, located at 25 King Edward Street, from 10am to 2.30pm.
