Lifeline safeTALK and accidental counsellor foundations workshops

Lifeline is bringing its free safeTALK and accidental counsellor foundations workshops to the Gannawarra this November.

Made possible thanks to flood recovery funding, these events will focus on two topics:

safeTALK - Occurring at Quambatook on Monday, 18 November (10am) and Cohuna on Tuesday, 19 November (1pm)

This half-day alertness workshop prepares anyone to become a suicide alert helper. 

safeTALK trainers can recognise when someone is struggling and can connect them with lifesaving intervention resources.

Accidental Counsellor Foundations - Occurring at Kerang on Monday, 18 November (6pm) and Cohuna on Tuesday, 19 November (9am)

This workshop will provide attendees with the necessary skills and tools to be able to be an accidental counsellor momentarily and respond appropriately, efficiently and effectively to people in crisis or distress when there may not be a professional immediately available.
