Residents and visitors looking for somewhere to keep cool have until 7pm Monday, 10 March to take advantage of the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools.

Both facilities, managed by Gannawarra Shire Council, will revert to the autumn/spring opening hours of 3pm-7pm from Saturday, 1 March to Sunday, 9 March, with both sites open from 12 noon-7pm for the Labour Day public holiday on Monday, 10 March.

“It has been fantastic to see so many people visit our outdoor pools during the past four months,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“We have been fortunate to have only lost seven days this season due to inclement weather, with residents and visitors taking advantage of the above average temperatures.

“Both sites have hosted various activities, ranging from community events, school swimming sessions, swimming club programs and our popular Morning Laps program, supported by our dedicated staff who help keep visitors safe.”

Council looks forward to welcoming residents and visitors back to the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools when the new swimming season begins later in the year.

Residents wanting to keep active in the water are encouraged to utilise the Kerang Exercise Pool, located in Patchell Plaza, which is open weekdays throughout the year.
