Gannawarra Library Service members can be in the running to win book vouchers by taking part in the State Library Victoria’s Winter Book Binge program.

Initially scheduled to occur in autumn, the recent development of the library service’s “click and collect” borrowing system means that residents can take part in this popular program.

“Many of the Gannawarra Library Service’s members are already benefiting from this ‘click and collect’ system, and what better way to explore the service’s catalogue of books and audiobooks by taking part in this program,” Council’s Director of Community Wellbeing, Stacy Williams said.

“The aim of the Winter Book Binge program is to re-engage with our members and encourage them to start reading again, taking advantage of the ‘click and collect’ service.”

To be in the running for a monthly prize of a Readings book voucher, participants simply read or listen to three books from any genre.

“Once you have completed three books from any genre, fill out the game card available at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/bookbinge or ask staff to include a copy of the game card with your ‘click and collect’ items, and write down which month you are entering the draw for by crossing out the autumn month list and replacing it with the relevant winter month,” Mrs Williams said.

“To be in the monthly draw, drop your entry into your local library branch book chute by the end of each month, or email scanned cards to library@gls.vic.gov.au.”
