The Gannawarra Library Service’s Cohuna branch will have new opening hours as of Monday, 5 August.

Following a recent review of its operating procedures, the library – which is based within Council’s Cohuna Customer Service Centre – will open 10am-4pm Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as 10am-12 noon Saturdays. The library will continue to be closed on Tuesdays.

“Following a careful examination of library usage patterns, the Gannawarra Library Service has made the decision to reduce its opening hours by one hour on weekdays,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“By realigning our library hours to match the Cohuna Customer Service Centre’s opening hours, we aim to maximise our resources during time when the library is at its busiest whilst ensuring staff have adequate support and a safe working environment.

“The Gannawarra Library Service appreciate the understanding and support of its members as these changes are implemented.”

Gannawarra Library Service members can access its catalogue of books, DVDs, magazines and audiobooks at any time, with membership also providing free access to BorrowBox’s catalogue of eBooks, eAudio books and eMagazines, hoopla’s digital catalogue, Beamafilm’s various movies and documentaries, and Story Box Library’s selection of children’s stories.
