Gannawarra Shire Council is looking forward to Cohuna hosting its April 2021 Council Meeting.
Occurring on Wednesday, 21 April at 6.30pm, the meeting will be held at the Cohuna Community Meeting Room, located at 21-23 King Edward Street, Cohuna.
“Attending or watching Council Meetings online enables residents to witness our democratic processes in action,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“The April 2021 Council Meeting is the first time since October 2017 that a Council Meeting will be held outside of the Kerang Council Chambers or other venues within Kerang, with the Cohuna Community Meeting Room last hosting a Council Meeting in April 2017.”
Those planning to attend Council Meetings are advised that limited seating in the Public Gallery will be available, with bookings essential. Residents wanting to attend may book their spot by contacting Council on (03) 5450 9333.
“Those who are attending will be required to adhere to the various COVIDsafe measures in place. These include providing contact details upon arrival and socially distancing,” Mayor Gillingham said.
“For those unable to attend, Council meetings will continue to be livestreamed online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/livestream, with video of each meeting broadcast available to view anytime at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/meetings.”
Residents are reminded that the opportunity to submit questions to Councillors is available via the Question Time process, which can be viewed at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/QuestionTime
“Please note that questions from the public gallery in attendance on the night of the Council Meeting will not be taken, with submitted questions which meet the criteria to be answered in line with the Governance Rules,” Mayor Gillingham said.
