Extra Mayoral Listening Post sessions confirmed

Dates and times for Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2020 Mayoral Listening Post program have been confirmed.

Initially scheduled to occur during late March and April, the program was postponed following the implementation of Coronavirus-related social distancing measures.

“The first session since the program’s resumption, held earlier today at Koondrook, was well received, with residents taking the opportunity to raise matters with their local Councillor,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

“With the remaining sessions for this year’s program confirmed, my fellow Councillors and I look forward to meeting with residents as this program resumes to hear your concerns and enact on requests.”

Mayoral Listening Post sessions will be held at the following locations:

  • At the Lake Charm Hall on Monday, 13 July from 11am to 12 noon;
  • Outside the Kerang Council Chambers on Tuesday, 14 July from 11am to 12 noon;
  • Outside the Kerang Council Chambers on Saturday, 18 July from 11am to 12 noon;
  • At the Tragowel Hall on Wednesday, 29 July from  1pm to 2pm;
  • Outside the Leitchville Bakery on Wednesday, 5 August from 11am to 12 noon; and
  • At Apex Park, Cohuna on Wednesday, 12 August from 11am to 12 noon.

“Deputy Mayor, Cr Charlie Gillingham will be in attendance at the Lake Charm session, with Cr Brian Gibson to participate in the 14 July session at Kerang and Cr Jenny Fawcett to take part in the 18 July session at Kerang,” Mayor Learmonth said.

“I encourage residents to visit one of these sessions and meet your fellow Councillors.”
