Families looking for entertainment options these school holidays will have plenty of choices, thanks to the Gannawarra Library Service’s free school holiday program.
Three activities are planned at the service’s Cohuna and Kerang branches between 28 June and 4 July, with families encouraged to book now before spaces fill up.
“The Gannawarra Library Service’s school holiday programs are a great way to keep your children entertained during the school holidays,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
The program begins on Wednesday, 28 June at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library, with a watercolour and collage session for children aged five years and above occurring from 10.30am.
Children aged five years and older will also enjoy making mechanical toys on Thursday, 29 June at the Cohuna Library from 10.30am, with this session also occurring at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Tuesday, 4 July from 10.30am.
The program also includes a special Author Talk session with Robert Lorenzon and his dog, Spike at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Monday, 3 July from 2pm. The session will focus on Spike Surfs, which explores Spike’s journey from being found by Mr Lorenzon at the Lost Dogs Home to winning the Best Wave Award at the 2018 Australian Dog Surfing Championship – a highlight of the annual Noosa Festival of Surfing.
Bookings for all activities are essential, with all children participating to be accompanied by an adult.
