Gannawarra Flood Reflections Exhibition heading to Quambatook

Quambatook will be the next stop for the Gannawarra Flood Reflections Exhibition, which features photographs captured during the 2022 floods.
The exhibition will be on display at the Quambatook Community Resource Centre, located at 8 Guthrie Street, from Friday, 5 July to Friday, 2 August, with the exhibition available to view 9am-3pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
“Quambatook is the fourth stop of this exhibition’s tour, which has been on display at Cohuna, Kerang and Murrabit since its premiere earlier this year,” Mayor Ross Stanton said.
“Visitors to the exhibition praised those who contributed on how the images and drone footage highlights the community spirit displayed during the response and recovery phase.”
Due to sizing constraints, a selection of professionally presented images will be on display at Quambatook, with the full catalogue of images and drone footage viewable via a television located on-site.
Once the exhibition finishes its tour of the Gannawarra, all items will be returned to contributors, with digital images and drone footage to be retained by Council for historical purposes.
“Council is aware that community members who were impacted by the floods are at various stages in their recovery and that feelings and emotions are a normal part of recovery,” Mayor Stanton said.
“Support continues to be available for impacted residents and information will be provided as part of the exhibition if revisiting images from the floods causes concern.”
The exhibition is funded by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments under the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) as part of the Gannawarra Community Flood Recovery Program.
