Residents wanting to know about what arts and culture events are occurring throughout the Gannawarra during 2020 are encouraged to get a copy of the Arts and Culture in the Gannawarra! guide.
The 16-page booklet promotes key events occurring throughout 2020, ranging from Gannawarra Shire Council’s Arts and Culture program to major community performances.
“This year Council has produced an Arts and Culture guide that covers the entire year, featuring details on the range of events, exhibitions and workshops on offer throughout 2020,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
Key events highlighted in the guide include the Quambatook Silo Cinema’s screenings of Crocodile Dundee later this month and Red Dog in October, the world premiere of the play Running with Emus at Tree Tops Scout Camp and exhibitions scheduled for Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library during the year.
Other highlights include details on the six performances supported by Council’s Arts and Culture program, ranging from the multi-generational creative workshop and photographic exhibition, I See You Like This to a series of touring workshops hosted by renowned Blues and Roots singer, Mama Kin.
“The guide provides details on each performance, how to book tickets and highlights supporters of these events that help bring these diverse attractions to the Gannawarra,” Mayor Learmonth said.
“The guide also outlines ways you can keep up to date with future events and other arts and culture opportunities.”
Copies of the Arts and Culture in the Gannawarra! guide are available from Council’s Customer Service Centres in Cohuna and Kerang, your local library and neighbourhood houses located throughout the Gannawarra or online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/arts
