Community groups and organisations that operate within the Gannawarra are encouraged to regularly visit Gannawarra Shire Council’s grants portal for the latest information on available grants.

Council’s grants portal – available at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/grants - is regularly updated and features details on funding programs managed by the State and Federal governments, sporting bodies, cultural organisations and other philanthropic organisations.

“Grants and funding streams regularly assist with our community groups and organisations’ goals of implementing projects or initiatives, both large and small, throughout the Gannawarra,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

“Whether it is the installation of a defibrillator, the running of a community educational campaign or the construction of a new facility, these projects benefit residents both now and into the future.”

Council’s grants portal also provides information on Council’s three major grants streams – the annual Community Grants Program, the Gannawarra Community Resilience Grants Program and the Major Community Project Fund.

“These three popular funding streams have enabled numerous projects, ranging from the hosting of community events to facility refurbishments, to proceed,” Mayor Learmonth said.

“I encourage community groups and associations to bookmark Council’s grants portal as a key resource to accessing funding from external sources as well as through Council, for your next project or event.”
