Have you say on the Cohuna Skate Park

Users of the Cohuna Skate Park are encouraged to have their say on the future design of the popular facility.
Gannawarra Shire Council is seeking feedback from the community regarding the skate park, with the first of three consultation sessions to occur next week.
Project representatives will be on-site at the skate park, located at Apex Park, on Tuesday, 8 October from 3.30pm to 5pm to seek the views of users.
“The Cohuna Skate Park is an important community asset for the district’s young people, and we would like to redevelop the site into a facility current and future residents can be proud of,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
“Project representatives have developed a questionnaire which enables skate park users to identify what features they would like incorporated into the proposed design.
“All feedback received will assist designers in developing what the redevelopment will look like.”
Feedback will also be sought from students at Cohuna’s three schools during drop-in sessions planned for later this month.
A stall featuring draft graphics will also be set up at Garden Park on the evening of Saturday, 2 November to coincide with the Cohuna Creekside Fair.
“I encourage residents young and old to have their say on the future design of the Cohuna Skate Park,” Mayor Learmonth said.
The design stage of the Cohuna Skate Park redevelopment is supported by Council’s $10.877 million 2019/2020 Capital Works program.
