Knowing your teens workshop

Ways to maintain a positive relationship with your teenager will be explored during a free Gannawarra Shire Council-supported workshop occurring next month in Kerang.

Experienced family relationship practitioners from CatholicCare Sandhurst will host the Knowing Your Teen workshop, occurring at the Sir John Gorton Library on Monday, 6 September at 6pm.

The workshop is designed for parents and guardians of teenagers, with parents of pre-teen children also encouraged to attend.

“Knowing Your Teens will look at the developmental changes of teenagers, peer relationships, and give effective tips for building and maintaining positive relationships with your teenager,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“This session will also provide the opportunity for parents of teenagers to network and share experiences that help them to build upon their strengths and challenges of parenting a teenager”. 

Bookings are essential, with the workshop requiring a minimum number of attendees to be confirmed to be delivered.

Light refreshments will be provided during the event.
