Efforts to repair Gannawarra Shire Council-managed infrastructure damaged during the October-December 2022 floods have reached a key milestone.

Work will occur from Tuesday, 19 September to replace two culverts located along Macorna-Pyramid Road between Hubbard and McDougal roads, with this section of road to be closed for up to two days.

“Macorna-Pyramid Road is key road for residents in Macorna and Mincha West, as it provides connection between properties and the Loddon Valley Highway,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson.

“Installing new culverts along this section of road will allow flows that spill over Calivil Creek to pass through this area with minimal impact on Macorna-Pyramid Road.”

Detours will be in place whilst the works occur, with motorists advised to travel along Kerang-Macorna, Wishart and McDougal Roads during 19-20 September.

“Council thanks residents and motorists for their understanding whilst these works occur,” Mr Rollinson said.

Council will provide regular updates regarding flood repair works via its website, Gannawarra News, Gannawarra Connect and Facebook page.
