Koondrook residents are benefiting from the upgrade of a 300-metre section of Murray Parade.

The work, completed last week as part of Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2024/25 capital works program, resulted in the sealing of a 300-metre section of road between Forest Street and Grigg Road.

“This much-needed improvements will enable all-weather access for motorists travelling between Grigg Road and Koondrook Primary School,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.

“The improvements are also benefiting residents who live along this section of road, who can now access their properties no matter the weather.”

As part of the improvements, Murray Parade was realigned to correctly place the road within the road reserve, ensuring it complies with infrastructure standards. The project also included installing new stormwater drainage systems.

“Council thanks residents and motorists for their patience as these works were completed,” Mr Rollinson said.
