Gannawarra Shire community members may see more visitors this summer as copies of the new Gannawarra Visitor Guide have been distributed to Visitor Centre’s throughout Victoria and across the border.
The Gannawarra Visitor Guide is a key promotional booklet that assists visitors to explore our towns and the many nature based activities, hospitality businesses and services within the Gannawarra.
“Although the state is currently under COVID-19 restrictions, the guide will help to inspire potential visitors and community members to look to the future and consider planning for the Gannawarra Shire as their next holiday destination,” said Gannawarra Shire Chief Executive Officer Tom O’Reilly.
“The Guide provides information on local industries, markets, major events, cafes, places to stay and free camping sites, giving a visitor everything they would need to know about what the different towns across the Shire have to offer”.
“It is a great resource even for residents, as locals will be able to become Gannawarra Ambassadors and use the guide to show their visiting friends or family new places to explore.”
Council’s Tourism Department worked with numerous local businesses, community members and creatives to create the new look guide, which will act as a promotional tool for locals and visitors.
Copies of the Gannawarra Visitor Guide are available online and once COVID-19 restrictions have eased will be available from the Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Centre in Cohuna, Sir John Gorton Library in Kerang and many hospitality businesses across the Shire.
