Published on 30 April 2024
Gardening enthusiasts or those looking to make a Mother’s Day gift are encouraged to register for a succulent centrepiece workshop, occurring at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library next week.
Made possible thanks to the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments under the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) as part of the Gannawarra Community Flood Recovery Program, this free event will be occurring on Friday, 10 May from 10.30am.
“Thanks to the dedication of our Gannawarra Library Service staff, a number of creative workshops have been hosted over recent months to enable residents to connect socially while creating something special,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“The succulent centrepiece workshop is an opportunity to meet other people in the community and to have conversations while creating a floral centrepiece that can be used to adorn any coffee table.”
All materials to create a succulent table centrepiece will be provided, with those attending also able to bring along any succulent cuttings up to 15 centimetres long they may wish to use or to share with other participants.
Bookings for this special event are essential. For more information and to book your spot, phone the Gannawarra Library Service on (03) 5452 1546.
