With the 2021-2025 Council Plan recently adopted at the August Council meeting, Council is now focused on its implementation. Gannawarra Shire Council thanks all residents who provided input and feedback into the development of the 2021-2025 Council Plan and Community Vision.

To support the Council Plan, a Year One Action Plan has been developed. The Action Plan focuses on Council’s efforts over the next 12 months on delivering meaningful outcomes.  The Community Vision outlines where Gannawarra aims to be in the long term and was developed from an extensive community consultation process earlier this year.

“Council took careful consideration of the community feedback in developing the 2021-2025 Council Plan, Community Vison and Year One Action Plan, and perceives these documents as a culmination of what the community desires Council to focus on over the next four years,” said Gannawarra Shire Mayor, Charlie Gillingham.

Many residents may have already seen works progressing in line with the 2021-2025 Council Plan, including the new Cohuna All Abilities playground commencing last week, the Koondrook All Abilities Playground, and Tate Drive Industrial Estate expansion nearing completion. In addition, works are progressing on the Morton Garner Show Pavilion, Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre expansion, and Kerang CBD Redevelopment-Stage 2 project, among many other significant projects highlighted in the 2021/22 Budget.

“The current works under development show how the Council has already started to improve points of concern expressed by residents during consultation on the Council Plan and summarised into three main goals of enhancing Liveability, Growth and Sustainability within the Gannawarra Shire,” Cr. Gillingham said.

Residents are encouraged to keep an eye on how the Gannawarra Shire continues to grow and look through the Gannawarra Shire 2021-2025 Council Plan to see what they can further expect over the next four years.
