Visit Council's new-look website
Published on 12 February 2024
Residents and visitors wanting to access Gannawarra Shire Council’s services or looking for information about the Gannawarra will benefit from Council’s new-look website.
Launched on Monday, 12 February, Council’s website – located at www.gsc.vic.gov.au – has undergone a refresh aimed to make it easier for visitors to access the information they are after.
“As residents and visitors continue to incorporate digital technology into their everyday lives, it is important that people looking for information regarding Council can do so easily,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“During the past few years our dedicated staff have worked on developing ways to achieve this, such as enabling people to complete forms for popular services or providing feedback online.
“Refreshing our website is the next major step in this process, with its new-look layout and site map developed to help people find information easily.”
As part of efforts to make accessing information easier, Council’s website has been split into seven sections:
- My Property, featuring information regarding pets and animals, rates and valuations, waste services and swimming pool registration;
- Our Services, including information regarding children’s services, the Gannawarra Library Service, emergency management and community health initiatives;
- Planning and Building, featuring details relating to planning and building permit applications;
- Tourism, Events and Recreation, which highlights the Gannawarra’s tourist attractions, local events, swimming pools and resources to help you plan your next event;
- Invest in the Gannawarra, which features resources for people wanting to work and/or live in the Gannawarra;
- Your Council, which profiles Gannawarra Shire Council’s history, its Councillors and executive staff, key documents and grant opportunities; and
- Contact Us, which includes all of Council’s forms in the one location.
“The website also features the latest news from Council, project updates and how you can have your say on Council-related projects and matters,” Mr Rollinson said.
“I encourage all residents to mark Council’s website on their favourites list on their laptop or phone and visit our website next time they seek information regarding Council’s services.”
