Motorists are advised that Wandella Road, Wandella between Kerang-Quambatook Road and McKenzie Road will be closed from Monday, 4 May to enable sealing works to occur.

Supported by Council and Regional Roads Victoria, this project has been brought forward due to savings from the Appin South bridge replacement works, which is currently underway.

“Wandella Road is one of the Gannawarra’s most-used rural roads during the winter sports season, with the road the main thoroughfare to the Wandella Recreation Reserve, home of the Wandella Football and Netball Club,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Once completed, these works will benefit residents and visitors to the Wandella Recreation Reserve for many years to come.”

Detours will be in place for up to four weeks, with detours in place via Shelly Lane and the western section of Wandella Road.

“Residents whose properties are within the closed section of Wandella Road will still have road access whilst these works occur,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Council thanks motorists and residents for their patience as these important works are undertaken.”
