Big Summer Read

Join the fun! The Big Summer Read is open for another year!

We really want to encourage Gannawarra kids to keep reading over Summer!

How it works

The Big Summer Read Challenge runs from Sunday, 1 December 2024 to Friday, 31 January 2025.

The aim of the challenge is for children to read and log as many books as they can over Summer.

Children will need to read and log a minimum of 10 books between these dates to be eligible for the Gannawarra Library Service and Statewide prize draws.

Children aged between 0-18 who record their reading online through the ReadBooks BSR website will be eligible for the Statewide prize draws.

When children complete the challenge, they will automatically be placed in a draw to win a book pack. At the conclusion of the program, prize winners will be drawn from 4 categories based on age:

0-4 years

5-8 years

9-12 years

13-18 years
