Council is seeking your help to shape the next version of its Council Plan and its Community Vision, with various community engagement opportunities occurring between December 2024 and January 2025.

Council will work with residents during the next two months to develop what will become the 2025-2029 Gannawarra Shire Council Plan, which will incorporate Council’s Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan and the municipality’s Community Vision for the next 10 years.

There are various ways you can help shape this important document. To learn more about each option, please click on any of the boxes below:

Complete a survey

As part of the engagement process, residents will be able to complete a five-question survey regarding what people like most about where they live, their community’s current challenges, what Council can do create healthier and safer communities, what priorities Council should achieve during the next 10 years, and whether the current Community Vision and goals still represent their community’s aspirations.

You can complete this survey below. Alternatively, you can collect a copy from Council's Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang.

Provide feedback on a conversation board

Residents can provide their responses to questions relating to what people like most about where they live, their community’s current challenges, what Council can do create healthier and safer communities, what priorities Council should achieve during the next 10 years, and whether the current Community Vision and goals still represent their community’s aspirations via conversation boards placed at the following locations:

  • Gannawarra Library Service branches at Cohuna and Kerang.
  • Gannawarra Shire Children’s Centre, Kerang.
  • Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Information Centre, Cohuna.
  • Neighbourhood houses and community resource centres at Cohuna, Kerang and Quambatook.
  • Mallee District Aboriginal Service’s Kerang office.
