Feedback accepted up to 5pm Friday, 7 June 2024.
Residents were encouraged during May and June 2024 to have their say on two Gannawarra Shire Council documents that will guide the design, installation, and management of public street lighting within the municipality.
Approved to proceed to the community engagement period at Council’s May 2024 meeting, Council’s draft Public Street Lighting policy and accompanying Public Street Lighting procedure will ensure Council’s management of these assets are reflective of current practice.
The draft Public Street Lighting policy and procedure addresses matters relating to:
- Lighting asset ownership, classification, and the entities responsible for management;
- Lighting installations for the new and existing streets and public spaces;
- Determining the need for lighting; and
- The requests/complaints resolution procedures for frequently reoccurring concern types.
