Each incoming municipal council must review its Road Management Plan during the same period as it is preparing its Council Plan.
The purpose of the Road Management Plan is to establish a management system to assist the Council to meet its Road Management Act duties based on its policy and operational objectives and having regard to available resources.
The Road Management Plan sets out Council’s statutory requirements in relation to inspection repair and maintenance of Council roads and does not set out levels of service required by the road user.
